Anxiety and panic
Your heart suddenly races and you feel like you can't breathe,
or anxiety washes over you for no reason.
Sleepless nights, an anxious mind.
We help restore the balance between brain and body.
Problems of the mind can't be seen,
but the body sends honest signals.
Your heart suddenly races and you feel like you can't breathe,
or anxiety washes over you for no reason.
It's hard to get up in the morning, you don't feel like doing anything,
and you're always tired and unmotivated.
You struggle to fall asleep, wake up often during the night,
or still feel tired when you get up.
When stress from work, relationships or exams piles up,
headaches, indigestion and a tight chest come along with it.
Most people who come to us with insomnia, depression or panic disorder have been treated with medication that approaches the problem only as a matter of brain neurotransmitters. Korean medicine, however, holds that "the mind can rest only when the body is at ease."
When the heart overheats, you feel anxious and your heart pounds for no reason.
When the energy of the liver gets blocked, you become irritable and your chest feels tight.
When the spleen weakens, one thought leads to another and it becomes hard to fall asleep.
At 당당한의원 대구수성점, we don't simply suppress symptoms. Through pulse and abdominal diagnosis, we carefully work out how the balance among the three organ systems of the heart, liver and spleen has broken down, and where the flow of qi and blood has become blocked.
Correcting the body's imbalance to create an environment where the brain can find its own calm: this is the root-level care for the mind that 당당한의원 대구수성점 aims for.
We regulate the function of the heart, which governs the mind; the liver, which manages stress; and the spleen, which governs thinking.
We replenish what is lacking, clear what is blocked, cool excess heat and warm what is cold, improving the body's internal environment.
We help make deep sleep possible and ease tension, building up the strength the brain and body need to recover on their own.
The focus of treatment depends on your symptoms and your 4-axis assessment results.
Heart-gallbladder timidity, deficient qi and blood of the heart and spleen
Prescription to nourish heart and spleen blood
Strengthens the heart and spleen and replenishes blood to support deeper sleep.
Liver qi stagnation, autonomic nervous system imbalance
Prescription to move liver qi
Releases stagnant liver energy and eases tension to help calm the mind.
Dual deficiency of heart and spleen, depleted qi and blood
Prescription to boost heart and spleen qi
Lifts the energy of the heart and spleen to help bring back motivation and vitality.
Whatever the type, the principle is the same: care for body and mind together.
I see patients whose tests came back normal but who still don't feel right. I check the state of the body through abdominal diagnosis (pressing on the belly), tongue diagnosis and pulse diagnosis, and I record what I find as numbers so we can compare at the next visit.
With pain, I don't look only at the spot that hurts. I look for the cause in the way your feet meet the ground, the balance of your jaw and the way you walk. When I explain a treatment plan, I also tell you which study, in which journal, it's based on. I believe evidence only counts as evidence if you can check it yourself.
Using a symptom questionnaire plus pulse and abdominal diagnosis,
we assess the four axes of qi, blood, yin and yang and the state of the heart, liver and spleen.
Combining your Sasang constitution with the 4-axis results,
we identify the physical pattern behind your symptoms, such as "heart-gallbladder timidity" or "liver qi stagnation."
We design herbal medicine, acupuncture and pharmacopuncture, and any lifestyle care you need (sleep, exercise, relaxation)
to fit your pattern and daily rhythm.
Through regular consultations, we check changes in your symptoms and 4-axis measures,
adjust the intensity of treatment, and help prevent relapse.
A. Yes, you can. We start by using both together, and once your symptoms improve, one possible goal is to gradually reduce the Western medication.
A. With problems of the mind, "management and regulation" matter most. We help balance your body so you build the strength to handle stress on your own.
A. Rather than professional psychological counseling, our focus is Korean medicine care and lifestyle guidance. If deeper counseling is needed, we may recommend a specialized center.
